Tracksy ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Tracksy mobile application (the "App"). Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

  • Meal & Nutrition Data: Meal names, portion sizes, calorie counts, and macronutrient values (protein, carbohydrates, fat) that you log.
  • Water Intake Data: Daily water consumption amounts that you record.
  • Supplement Data: Supplement names, categories (e.g., protein, creatine, vitamin), dosages, frequency settings, and reminder times.
  • AI Coach Conversations: Messages you send to the AI coaching feature, including any meal photos you share for analysis.

  • Usage Data: App interaction data, feature usage patterns, session duration, and crash reports.
  • Barcode Scan Data: Product barcodes that you scan within the App (used solely to retrieve nutritional information).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Core App Functionality: To provide calorie tracking, macro monitoring, water tracking, supplement management, and dashboard features.
  • Personalized Calorie Goals: To calculate your daily calorie target based on your profile data (age, gender, height, weight, activity level, and goal).
  • AI Coaching: To generate personalized nutrition tips, meal feedback, and coaching messages. An anonymized summary of your data is sent to AI service providers (see Section 4).
  • Barcode Lookup: To retrieve product nutritional information from the Open Food Facts database using scanned barcodes.
  • Notifications: To send supplement reminders and daily summary notifications you have configured.
  • Analytics & Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve the App's features and performance.
  • Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries and provide technical assistance.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud-hosted database platform built on PostgreSQL. We implement the following security measures:

  • Authentication: Secure JWT-based authentication through Supabase Auth, supporting email/password and Google Sign-In.
  • Row Level Security (RLS): Database-level policies ensure that each user can only access their own data.
  • Encrypted Storage: Profile photos are stored in Supabase Storage with appropriate access controls.
  • API Key Protection: Third-party API keys (for AI services and food databases) are stored securely in Supabase Edge Functions, never exposed on the client side.
  • Data Encryption: All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS/SSL.

4. Third-Party Services

Tracksy integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Supabase: Cloud database, authentication, storage, and serverless functions. Supabase Privacy Policy
  • Google Gemini AI: Powers the AI Nutrition Coach feature. We send an anonymized summary of your nutrition data (no personally identifiable information such as your name or email) to generate personalized coaching responses. Google AI Terms
  • Open Food Facts: An open-source food product database used for barcode scanning and nutritional information lookup. Open Food Facts Privacy Policy
  • Google Sign-In: Used as an optional authentication method. Google Privacy Policy
  • Google AdMob: Advertisements are displayed to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. Premium users do not see ads. Google Ads Privacy Policy

5. AI Data Usage

When you use the AI Nutrition Coach feature:

  • We send a minimized, anonymized summary of your recent nutrition data to the AI provider (Google Gemini). This summary includes your calorie averages, macro distributions, and general profile information (age range, goal type) — not your name, email, or any direct identifier.
  • Meal photos shared in the AI chat are uploaded to our secure storage for analysis and are not shared with third parties beyond the AI processing service.
  • AI-generated responses are logged for quality improvement purposes and to help us enhance the coaching experience.
  • You can delete your AI conversation history at any time from within the App.

6. Data Retention

  • Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
  • If you delete your account, all associated data (profile, meals, supplements, water logs, AI conversations, and profile photos) will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.
  • Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics may be retained for analytical purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

Tracksy is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete the information.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and European Union, where our service providers (Supabase, Google) operate. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for any international data transfers.
